TrendMetric

[ For Ecommerce Agencies ]

Brief clients with catalog demand, not a recycled niche slide

TrendMetric is a shared research workspace for ecommerce agencies: AI Market Analysis on stored monthly snapshots, Tracked lists whose 7D / 30D clocks start when you save the row, and Projects that keep a country, notes, and catalog IDs together. It is not a client CRM, not white-label reporting, and not a license to invent missing months. Brand owners use the same market stack in-house; agencies repeat it per retainer.

  • One Project per client thesis, with a country so forecasts and notes share a view
  • AI Market Analysis language clients can follow — only months that exist in snapshots
  • Tracked history you can defend because the start date is the day you saved the item

Agencies usually brief from: AI Market Analysis, Tracked, Trending Markets Also see For Brand Owners and For Media Buyers.

Illustrative monthly-snapshot brief. Missing months are not filled in on the live board.

A brief that does not mix geographies

Projects store a name, country, notes, product IDs, and market IDs. Forecast summaries inside the project use that country. Worldwide remains available when the retainer is global. This is not pipeline, billing, or a place to spy on stores.

Caps: 3 / 12 / 40 projects on Starter / Pro / Business. Tracked is a separate cap (12 / 50 / 200). Use both when you need a written thesis and a watch list.

AI that stays inside the monthly board

AI Market Analysis answers what is working, where estimated revenue is moving, and which country view to inspect. If a month is missing, it stays missing. That is the correct behavior for a client-facing research note — not a gap to hallucinate.

Live MarketScore™ and revenue still live in Trending Markets. AI does not replace Who’s Scaling’s revenue-floor ranking. Media buyers still need that floor before they treat a client niche as scale-ready.

History a retainer can explain

Tracked 7D / 30D change only counts snapshots after the track date. Tell the client you started watching on a date. Do not imply a retroactive baseline.

Paid accounts can opt in to Tracked emails in Settings. Each account has one delivery address. Every email includes unsubscribe. Forecast-move alerts are not a separate live product.

What agencies put in a client brief

Project country

Keeps notes and forecast summaries on one stored demand view.

AI monthly snapshots

What’s working and where estimated revenue is moving — existing months only.

Tracked since

The client-facing start of the change clock.

MarketScore™ / VolumeScore™

Research ranks you can show next to inputs. Not performance guarantees.

Estimated revenue

Modeled range. Never presented as the client’s store sales.

Plan caps

Tracked and Projects limits by Starter / Pro / Business.

An agency workflow that stays defensible

Scope the market

Trending Markets + Who’s Scaling. Say out loud that revenue is estimated, not checkout.

Attach the SKUs

Drop catalog products into a Project. Forecast on the project country.

Watch after kickoff

Track the same rows the day the retainer starts so 30D change is honest.

For ecommerce agencies and consultants who need a repeatable research stack per client — not a CRM, not store spying, and not invented months.

Ecommerce agency research FAQ

Is Projects a client CRM?+

No. A project holds a name, country, notes, and catalog product/market IDs. It is not pipeline, billing, or offer building.

Can I white-label TrendMetric for clients?+

The live product is the TrendMetric workspace. There is no separate white-label portal described here. You can brief from AI snapshots, Tracked, and Projects.

What if AI is missing a month the client asked about?+

The month stays missing. AI Market Analysis does not invent snapshots. That is the honest answer in a retainer.

Do clients get their own Tracked emails?+

Tracked emails are opt-in on a paid TrendMetric account, to one delivery address. They are not a multi-client notification product.

Which plan should an agency use?+

Pro or Business if you need Who’s Scaling, AI Market Analysis, Forecast, and higher Tracked/Projects caps. Starter still includes the live product and market catalogs.
