[ For Dropshippers ]
Find dropshipping products while demand is still climbing
TrendMetric is a catalog research workspace for dropshippers who are tired of copying someone else’s winning-product list. You rank stored search demand, growth, competition, and VolumeScore™ on products that already exist in the catalog. It is not a store spy, not an auto-importer, and not a promise that a high score will convert on your store. Product researchers use the same board with more column-by-column discipline.
- Shortlist catalog products on VolumeScore™, search volume, and 30D / 90D growth
- Read competition and trend next to demand so a spike is not treated as a niche
- Forecast a catalog SKU, then Track it from the day you decide it matters
Dropshippers usually pair this workflow with: Trending Products, VolumeScore™, Forecast Also see For Product Researchers and For Media Buyers.

What dropshipping product research looks like here
Open Trending Products and filter for demand that is high enough to bother testing, growth that is not a one-day spike, and competition you can live with. VolumeScore™ is the 0–100 rank that sorts the board. A high score with High competition is still a test — it is not a green light to buy 500 units.
Spy on Store and Search Product outside the catalog are not live. If a product is not in the catalog, TrendMetric cannot invent a row for it. That constraint is the product: you research stored history, not every TikTok SKU on the internet.
Saturation is a competition-and-trend read, not a vibe
Dropshippers lose money when they enter after ads have already crowded a keyword. TrendMetric shows competition as Low / Medium / High from stored crowding, plus Rising / Steady / Cooling trend on the same series. Use both. Rising with High competition is a different bet than Rising with Low competition.
Country switching uses stored country volumes. Worldwide is the full catalog. Do not add a country view on top of Worldwide and call it extra demand.
After the shortlist: market, forecast, then track
When a product looks usable, open Trending Markets for the category around it. Estimated revenue is a modeled monthly range for comparison — not Shopify checkout and not ad spend. Never add parent and submarket TAM together. Media buyers use the same market board when they are deciding whether a niche is big enough to scale.
Forecast the catalog product on a short horizon for a demand range and a Scale / Test / Watch / Caution stance from stored history. Then Track it so 7D / 30D change starts today. Track Forecast is not live.
Signals dropshippers actually sort on
Search volume
Stored monthly demand for the catalog keyword, including a country view when you switch geography.
30D / 90D growth
Short and medium momentum so a viral day can be checked against a longer window.
Competition
Low / Medium / High crowding. A research label, not an auction bid or supplier MOQ.
VolumeScore™
0–100 composite used to sort Trending Products. Not a sales or ROAS prediction.
Forecast stance
Range plus Scale / Test / Watch / Caution from stored history — not a checkout forecast.
Tracked since
Change windows start on the save date. No retroactive baseline from before you tracked.
A dropshipper workflow in TrendMetric
Morning catalog scan
Filter Trending Products by growth and VolumeScore™. Skip rows that are High competition with Cooling trend.
Check the category
Open Trending Markets for estimated revenue around the product. Do not sum parent and child TAM.
Watch the test
Forecast a 30D range, Track the SKU, and come back after snapshots exist. Emails are opt-in on a paid plan.
For dropshippers who want catalog demand research before they spend on samples or ads — not a creative spy and not a guaranteed winner list.

Dropshipping product research FAQ
Does TrendMetric find winning dropshipping products automatically?+
No. It ranks catalog products on stored demand, growth, competition, and VolumeScore™. You still choose what to test. A high score is not a sales guarantee.
Can I spy on a competitor’s Shopify store?+
No. Spy on Store is Coming Soon and is not a live research surface. You research catalog products and markets, not store URLs.
How do I know a product is not already saturated?+
You don’t get a saturation percentage. You read competition, trend, and 30D / 90D growth on the same row. High competition plus Cooling trend is a reason to skip or Test small.
Which plan do dropshippers start on?+
Starter includes Trending Products, Trending Markets, VolumeScore™, Tracked (12), and 3 Projects. Who’s Scaling, AI Market Analysis, and Forecast are on Pro and Business.
Will a forecast tell me how many units I will sell?+
No. Forecast returns a demand range, stance, and recommendation from stored history. It is not observed checkout or ad performance.
