Privacy Policy

TrendMetric is a market-research SaaS at TrendMetric.io. This policy covers the website, accounts, subscriptions, and workspace. It does not list a separate legal entity name.
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy describes how TrendMetric (“TrendMetric,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you visit TrendMetric.io, create an account, subscribe, or use the research workspace. This policy applies to the TrendMetric website and product at https://trendmetric.io. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, including checkout pages operated by a payment processor.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you register we collect your email address and any name you provide. Authentication is handled by our authentication provider. We store a user identifier so the workspace can load your session and entitlements. Workspace information. If you use Tracked, Projects, or Settings, we store the research state tied to your account: tracked products and markets, project names, notes, country choices, product and market IDs you attach, and notification preference toggles. Notification toggles can be saved; TrendMetric does not currently send email alerts. Billing information. Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business) are billed in USD on monthly, quarterly, or annual cycles. Checkout is completed with a third-party payment processor. We receive entitlement fields needed to provide access (plan, billing period, status, amounts, and period dates). We do not store full card numbers on TrendMetric servers. Technical information. We collect standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) to operate, secure, and debug the service. For eligible regional checkout pricing, we may read a country code supplied by our hosting platform’s request headers. We do not run a separate in-app GeoIP product, and catalog country pickers are research filters, not billing location.
3. Cookies and similar storage
We use cookies and similar storage that are required to sign you in and keep a session with our authentication provider. We may also use cookies or local storage for CSRF protection and to restore a workspace session. We do not use advertising cookies or sell browsing profiles to ad networks. You can block cookies in your browser. If you block authentication cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to create and secure accounts, provide the research catalog and workspace, process subscriptions and restore paid access, remember Tracked/Projects/settings, apply regional checkout quotes where a hosting-platform country header is present, prevent abuse and unreasonable extraction of catalog data, diagnose outages, and send transactional messages about the account or billing (for example, checkout or access issues). We do not sell personal information.
5. How we share information
We share information with service providers that help us operate TrendMetric: hosting and content delivery, authentication, databases, and payment processing. Those providers process data on our instructions to provide their service. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service or other users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets limited to TrendMetric as a product — in which case this policy will still describe the brand TrendMetric / TrendMetric.io. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Catalog and research data
TrendMetric shows stored market-research data (search-demand history, derived scores such as VolumeScore™ and MarketScore™, market snapshots, and modeled estimated revenue ranges). That catalog is research content, not your personal information. Your Tracked lists, Projects, and notes are your workspace data and are treated as described in this policy. VolumeScore™, MarketScore™, trend labels, forecasts, and estimated revenue are informational research signals. They are not financial, inventory, or advertising advice.
7. Retention
We keep account and workspace data while the account is active. If you close the account, we delete or de-identify personal account data within a reasonable period unless we must retain it for security, billing disputes, or legal obligations. Payment records may be retained by the payment processor under its own policy. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (encrypted transport, access-controlled databases, and session cookies) to protect accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential.
9. International visitors
TrendMetric.io may be hosted and accessed from more than one country. If you use the product from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate.
10. Your choices
You may update profile fields available in Settings, change notification toggles (which do not send email today), cancel a subscription through the billing flow or by contacting us, and request access or deletion of personal account data by emailing privacy@trendmetric.io. We may need to verify the request. Some records (for example, processed payments) cannot be fully erased where the law requires retention. Depending on your location you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.
11. Children
TrendMetric is a business research product. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of TrendMetric.io after an update means you accept the revised policy.
